Anna' Stampin' Cave - Country Home Stamp Set with Country Lane DSP & Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Stampin’ Dreams August Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly blog hop! And today we have a real treat for you: a sneak peek of products from Stampin’ Up!®Autumn Winter Catalogue (also called a Holiday Catalog in other parts of the world). You are currently visiting Anna (me) and my Stampin’ Cave, up here in the UK. I hope you’ll enjoy coming to my blog today.

For today’s blog hop I decided to use products from one of my favourite suites from the catalogue, called Country Lane. Isn’t this bundle amazing!?

And here’s my card.

I’ve used Crushed Curry for the base.

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Country Home Stamp Set with Country Lane DSP & Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

To create this card, first, I run card front through the Big Shot with brand new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To bring out the beautiful detail of this folder, I used one of  Stamping Sponges and a Crushed Curry ink pad and sponged the surface to add more dimension.

Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2

Next, I stamped my images: the milk can on a scrap of Mint Macaron cardstock, and flowers on a piece of Whisper White.

To colour in the flowers I’ve brand new Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 and also added some shimmer to them with Clear Wink of Stella.

These pencils are available for purchase this month only as a part of Colour Your Seasons promotion (but we’ve heard they may come back in a future catalogue).

Fussy cutting

For the focal composition, I fussy cut the flowers and milk can. Next, I cut a piece of Country Lane DSP (with Blackberry Bliss polka dot design) and mount it flat on my card base.

I die-cut the biggest of four circles from Stitched Frames Framelits Dies from a Whisper White cardstock, cut off a slice and adhered it to patterned paper with a straight edge to the right.

Galvanized

There was one product or I should rather say a family of products that I was especially happy about – new ‘galvanized line. Galvanized Clips and Galvanized Buttons will soon join our embellishment assortment. But we will also have a new paper in our speciality papers assortment – Galvanised Metallic Paper. It’s just gorgeous in a real life and most importantly it’s double-sided!! Yay! I just had to use it

So I took a 1″ strip of Galvanised Metallic Paper, lay it flat over the card front, marked where the circle begins and using paper snips I cut out the concave shape. I slide in one of the Galvanised Clips to the edge of my strip. A tiny bow created using Linen Thread adds to the rustic theme of the card. I adhered it, to the left from the stitched circle, using dimensionals.

To finish assembling the card, I mounted my fussy-cut elements in the middle of a Whisper White circle. I’ve used liquid glue for the can and dimensionals for the flowers.

I stamped ‘Happy Harvest Blessings’ on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut it to the thin strip backed it with a piece of Crushed Curry and adhered it to the card just below the galvanized clip.

The inside

For the inside of the card, I decided to stamp the milk can and part of the bouquet. I stamped them off first with Crushed Curry ink pad. Using aqua painter I slightly washed out my images and once dry I sponged the inside of the card around all edges.

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Stampin' Up! Hold On To Hope Stamp Set - Bible Scriptures - Clean & Simple - Faith Card

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Hold On To Hope

Hello everyone! Welcome to the monthly Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Easter/Spring. You are currently visiting Anna Krol from the United Kingdom.

I have to admit I am addicted. I’m addicted to all things that are related to Bible journaling and Bible scriptures art. And every time Stampin’ Up! release a set that includes Bible verses it always ends up in my shopping cart. I love to use them either in my Journaling Bible or to create cards of encouragement and hope.

And today I’ve got for you very simple card, showcasing beautiful Hold On To Hope Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!

This stamp set comes with coordinating dies called Cross Of Hope Framelits Dies. And if you buy them as a BUNDLE you will instantly save 10% on your purchase.

Today I only used stamp set and here’s my card –

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Stampin' Up! Hold On To Hope Stamp Set - Bible Scriptures - Clean & Simple - Faith Card

Hold On To Hope card dimensions:

  • Whisper White Thick cardstock: 11-6/8″ x 4″ scored in half at 5-7/8″ (29.7 x 10.2 cm scored in half at 14.8 cm)
  • Crumb Cake cardstock: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/2″ (9.8 cm x 14.1 cm)
  • Whisper White cardstock: 3-3/4″ x 5-3/8″ (9.4 cm x 13.8 cm)
  • Crumb Cake cardstock for sentiment mat: 1-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ (4.4 cm x 6 cm)
  • Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment: 1-5/8″ x 2-1/4″ (4.1 cm x 5.7 cm)
  • a strip of Whisper White cardstock for a banner approx  5/16″ x 2-1/4″ (0.8 cm x 5.8 cm)
  • Pearl Basic Jewels

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Stampin' Up! Hold On To Hope Stamp Set - Bible Scriptures - Clean & Simple - Faith Card

To create this lovely card first I created the focal point: I stamped a Bible verse (Isaiah 46:4, from the stamp set) – on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Pool Party ink and mat it with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.

Next, I took a Whisper White panel and using Stamp-a-ma-jig decided where to stamp the beautiful flourish (from the same stamp set) so it won’t be hidden once I adhere my sentiment panel. I stamped it twice, on opposite corners, using Always Artichoke ink pad.

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Stampin' Up! Hold On To Hope Stamp Set - Bible Scriptures - Clean & Simple - Faith CardTo add some more interest to a rather simple card, I stamped ‘Isaiah 46:4″ in Cherry Cobbler ink on a strip of Whisper White cardstock, snip the ends diagonally and adhered it at an angle to the sentiment. Little pearls in the centres of the flowers finish off the card.

I really hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today and I would love to encourage you to hop along with us and see the rest of beautiful projects designed by amazing artists. Please be sure to continue to hop using the list below. You don’t want to miss any!

Colour With Me – Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Petal Palette Bedazzled with gold

Hello everyone! Welcome to the monthly Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Colouring. You are currently visiting Anna Krol from the United Kingdom.

Colouring and painting must be my favourite hobby. And it does not really matter what medium I use. For today’s hop, I’ve created two beautiful cards in different colour combinations, using amazing Petal Palette Stamp Set and Watercolour Pencils.

To showcase beautiful roses from Petal Palette Stamp Set, I decided to try a double layer stamping technique.

Dimensions for both cards:

  • card base: 11-6/8″ x 4-1/8″ scored in half at 5-7/8″ (29.7 x 10.5 cm scored in half at 14.8 cm) – Basic Black & Smoky Slate cardstock
  • Whisper White cardstock panels: 3-3/4″ x 5″ and 2-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ (9.5 cm x 12.7 cm and 6.3 cm x 9.5 cm)
  • Basic Black & Smoky Slate panels: 2-3/4″ x 4″ (7 cm x 10.1 cm)
  • Daffodil Delight & Melon Mambo panels: 2-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ (6.7 cm x 9.8 cm)
  • both sentiment strips (Basic Black & Smoky Slate) measure 2″ x 1″ (5 cm x 2.5 cm)  with Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight strips are just a smidge smaller

For one of my cards, I’ve used a classic colour combination: Basic Black & Melon Mambo with a hint of Old Olive on the leaves.

I’ve layered together two panels of Whisper White cardstock (smaller & larger) securing them together with a dab of snail adhesive in the middle so they won’t move.

I stamped roses from Petal Palette Stamp Set in two corners of my panel making sure they overlap both layers. Because I planned to use Watercolour Pencils, I stamped them using Basic Black Archival ink.

Next, I took apart those layers and decided to colour only the images on a small panel, and leave the rest just black and white.

To colour my roses, I’ve used Watercolour Pencils in Melon Mambo and Old Olive. Blender Pens helped me to blend those colours nicely.

Blender Pens are colourless, but the solution they hold, helps moving colour around, even on regular cardstock.

To add more colour to the image, you can either colour over the image or use Blender Pen to pick up the colour straight for the pencil.

For my second card, I decided to use a rather ethereal colour combination of shades of grey with a pop of yellow.

Same technique but completely different look.

For the roses, I’ve used Daffodil Delight watercolour pencil. I’ve added more colour to the edges of each petal and then using Blender Pen blended the colour towards the centre.

Leaves are coloured with Basic Grey watercolour pencil

And now comes the magic…

I really loved how these cards coming up together, but they seemed too plain to me. So I did a small experiment hoping it will work (and it did!Yay!).

Before assembling my cards, and all the layers together I took those small panels (one at a time of course), flicked water droplets all over them and immediately sprinkled with gold embossing powder.

Did you know that water can hold embossing powder if you act fast enough? Just apply heat from the back.

I heat set it with a heat tool. Once it cools down, I prepped the cardstock with Embossing Buddy, re-applied the heat to those droplets of gold embossing and quickly sprinkled with Gold Stampin’ Glitter. Dabbed off any excess back to the container and heat set it again to set the glitter in place.

I admit it is a VERY MESSY TECHNIQUE!! But it was so worth to have a glitter all over the house haha. Do I have to say it wasn’t last time I used this technique?! Can’t say more now lol

Hope you’ve enjoyed visiting my blog today. I’m wondering which card do you like the most? Classic black & pink or maybe the one in greys and pop of yellow? Please let me know in comments below.

Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop – Party Pandas Valentine

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave Party Pandas Valentine For Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to the monthly Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop. This month’s theme is Love. You are currently visiting Anna Krol from United Kingdom. I hope you enjoy my project. It’s my first time ‘hopping’ with Stampin’ Dreams crew. And I’ve got for you the most adorable love card EVER! Even if I do say so myself haha

Party Pandas card dimensions:

  • Basic Black cardstock: 11-6/8″ x 4-1/8″ scored in half at 5-7/8″ (29.7 x 10.5 cm scored in half at 14.8 cm)
  • Lemon Lime Twist cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ (8.9 cm x 13.4 cm)
  • Whisper White cardstock: 2-1/2″ x 4″ (6.4 cm x 10.2 cm)
  • Watercolour Paper
  • Whisper White cardstock for the inside of the card: 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ (8.9 cm x 13.4 cm)

When I saw a theme of this month’s blog hop I instantly knew which stamp set I will use. Isn’t this panda adorable?! Especially with its slightly oversized heart balloon!

The base of my card is standard A6 size in Basic Black. For the first layer I took a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, spritz it with water to soften the fibres, and run it through the Big Shot with lovely Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card base with Fast Fuse

Next, I inked my panda (I didn’t ink the balloon part) with Black Memento ink and stamped it onto Whisper White. With help of Stamp-a-ma-jig I positioned and stamped the sentiment ‘love you’ from the same stamp set.

Using watercolour paper and Brusho Crystal Colour in Brilliant Red and Gamboge, I created a watercolour wash. Once it dried, I took the heart die from Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, die-cut my balloon and added some shimmer with Clear Wink of Stella.

I glued my heart to the panda, where the balloon was and adhered the whole piece to the card base using dimensionals.

I’m really happy how this card turned out! Love the colours, dimension but most of all this adorable panda. And I hope that my card inspired you & brightened your day. I would love for you to see the list below & hop through all of the lovely artists on the list to see all our projects. You don’t want to miss any!
