Frosted Floral Suite

For my projects today I decided to showcase a beautiful suite of products called Frosted Floral Suite.

Stampin' Up! Frosted Foral Suite of products

I did not order the whole suite yet, but enough to showcase a beautiful stamp set with coordinating dies, and unique Designer Series Paper.

Here’s my card –

First, I created my card base. Next, I run my Whisper White panel through the Big Shot using Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this really subtle linen-like texture. I adhered it to the card base.

Frosted Floral Specialty DSP

I’m totally in love with this amazing paper. It’s oh-so-beautiful! Not only because of stunning, handpainted designs. This paper is so yummy and full of shine, like if it was printed on Shimmery White cardstock. What’s more, a  girl can wish for?

I picked a neutral Gray Granite design and cut 2″ strip and glued it into the bottom half of my card base.

First Frost Bundle

Just as a breathtaking is designer paper, a First Frost Stamp Set and coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies are equally beautiful.

I’ve used Stamparatus to stamp my images onto Whisper White cardstock, and die-cut them with matching dies. I also die-cut a few images from vellum.

I played with arranging my die-cuts to decide how I wanted them to go on the card and I snap a photo for a reference. Using either liquid glue, snail adhesive or dimensionals – I added all my pieces to the card.

I die-cut a circle using second smallest circle from Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and stamped my sentiment using Gray Granite ink. I also die-cut a slightly bigger vellum circle cut using Layered Circles Framelits Dies (approx 2-1/8″ – 5.4 cm). I adhered them together and mount it onto my card. Few Basic Pearls finish off my card.

Stampin’ Dreams August Blog Hop

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Country Home Stamp Set with Country Lane DSP & Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Stampin’ Dreams August Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly blog hop! And today we have a real treat for you: a sneak peek of products from Stampin’ Up!®Autumn Winter Catalogue (also called a Holiday Catalog in other parts of the world). You are currently visiting Anna (me) and my Stampin’ Cave, up here in the UK. I hope you’ll enjoy coming to my blog today.

For today’s blog hop I decided to use products from one of my favourite suites from the catalogue, called Country Lane. Isn’t this bundle amazing!?

And here’s my card.

I’ve used Crushed Curry for the base.

Anna' Stampin' Cave - Country Home Stamp Set with Country Lane DSP & Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

To create this card, first, I run card front through the Big Shot with brand new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To bring out the beautiful detail of this folder, I used one of  Stamping Sponges and a Crushed Curry ink pad and sponged the surface to add more dimension.

Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2

Next, I stamped my images: the milk can on a scrap of Mint Macaron cardstock, and flowers on a piece of Whisper White.

To colour in the flowers I’ve brand new Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 and also added some shimmer to them with Clear Wink of Stella.

These pencils are available for purchase this month only as a part of Colour Your Seasons promotion (but we’ve heard they may come back in a future catalogue).

Fussy cutting

For the focal composition, I fussy cut the flowers and milk can. Next, I cut a piece of Country Lane DSP (with Blackberry Bliss polka dot design) and mount it flat on my card base.

I die-cut the biggest of four circles from Stitched Frames Framelits Dies from a Whisper White cardstock, cut off a slice and adhered it to patterned paper with a straight edge to the right.

Galvanized

There was one product or I should rather say a family of products that I was especially happy about – new ‘galvanized line. Galvanized Clips and Galvanized Buttons will soon join our embellishment assortment. But we will also have a new paper in our speciality papers assortment – Galvanised Metallic Paper. It’s just gorgeous in a real life and most importantly it’s double-sided!! Yay! I just had to use it

So I took a 1″ strip of Galvanised Metallic Paper, lay it flat over the card front, marked where the circle begins and using paper snips I cut out the concave shape. I slide in one of the Galvanised Clips to the edge of my strip. A tiny bow created using Linen Thread adds to the rustic theme of the card. I adhered it, to the left from the stitched circle, using dimensionals.

To finish assembling the card, I mounted my fussy-cut elements in the middle of a Whisper White circle. I’ve used liquid glue for the can and dimensionals for the flowers.

I stamped ‘Happy Harvest Blessings’ on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut it to the thin strip backed it with a piece of Crushed Curry and adhered it to the card just below the galvanized clip.

The inside

For the inside of the card, I decided to stamp the milk can and part of the bouquet. I stamped them off first with Crushed Curry ink pad. Using aqua painter I slightly washed out my images and once dry I sponged the inside of the card around all edges.

I really hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today and I would love to encourage you to hop along with us and see the rest of beautiful projects designed by amazing artists. Please be sure to continue to hop using the list below. You don’t want to miss any!

In And Out Pop-Up Birthday Card

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Fun In and Out Birthday Card Using Birthday Delivery Bundle

Hello and thank you for stopping by.

Today, I wanted to show you a fun card I created for my grand niece’s 6th birthday recently. I got an idea for this card from ever amazing Jennifer McGuire, and its called ‘In & Out Card’. For her technique, you need a stamp set that comes with coordinating dies. And Birthday Delivery Stamp Set with Birthday Friends Framelits Dies was just perfect!

And here’s my card:

First, I stamped all the images I wanted to include in my card, on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. I wanted to use my Stampin’ Blends to colour images in (bear in mind I only had five colours in the dark and light shade at that time) so I’ve used Black Memento Ink Pad for my stamping. I also stamped a sentiment in the bottom right corner of the card base.

Because I had the ink pad out already, I stamped ‘Hip, Hip, Hooray’ flag on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, which I die-cut later.

When finished my colouring, I fussy cut the images which I wanted to ‘peek’ through. I cut them out right up against the edge of the stamping. Next, I planned on their placing on the card and using coordinating dies, I die cut their shapes from the card base.

The party hat was bit tricky, but once I die cut the girl shape, I adhered my fussy cut party hat to girl’s head, place the image through the opening and using a piece of washi tape, I secured party hat die where it should go. Done!

I adhered them through these openings, using dimensionals. Because these images are fussy cut, they fit snugly and don’t interfere with opening/closing the card. I also stamped, coloured and fussy cut the bouquet, And adhered it with dimensionals so it looks like my girl is carrying the flowers.

I stamped the second sentiment that says: ‘Surprise’ inside of the card. I also adhered two more pressie images inside of the card using snail adhesive.

I still wasn’t entirely happy with the card so I thought: Balloons!! I stamped 14 balloons from Birthday Delivery Stamp Set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and coloured them in with Stampin’ Blends. Because I didn’t have many, I mixed some of the colours to create new shades. Also these I fussy cut.

I created a small pop up element on the inside of the card.

I’ve used few strips of acetate and adhered my balloons – back to back – on one end of these acetate strips. The second end I adhered to the pop-up element and I hide it with a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock.

Now to finish off my card.

Using dimensionals I popped up ‘Hip Hip Hooray’ flag on the front of my card. I also added Clear Wink of Stella to my images for a bit of shimmer.

I truly hope you like my card. I surely had fun putting it together for my grand niece. And if you would like to check Jennifer’s video just click HERE.

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – For The Love of Creating – Beautiful Day Stamp Set

Hello and welcome to our very first For the Love of Creating with Stampin’ Up! Blog Hop run by the amazing Australian demonstrator, Kim Oliver. We are super excited to share with you an array of creations showcasing products from 2018 Occasions (Spring-Summer in the UK) catalogue and Sale-A-Bration freebies too. We hope you find great inspiration from our projects. If you have arrived here from Jay Soriano a big welcome to you. You are currently visiting Anna Krol from the United Kingdom.

I really want to encourage you to hop along with us – you are in for a real treat, as we are demonstrators from all over the world. Below is a list of all designers, but you can also use the NEXT  button further down to continue your journey on this blog hop.

For my projects today I decided to showcase beautiful stamp set called (not mistakenly) Beautiful Day. I will show you how to achieve stained glass effect using two different mediums.

Stained Glass Effect With Brusho –

I love these bold images with its stained glass look – perfect for techniques and colouring. And that’s exactly what I did.

I stamped the flower and the butterfly on a piece of watercolour paper in Versamark and heat embossed them in white. Next, I filled them in with water and sprinkled Brusho Crystal Colour over the top.

Heat embossing creates a barrier for the water and colour, so you can easily control how the colour spread. I’ve also used the aqua painter to move the colour around.

For the flower, I’ve used Brilliant Red, Gamboge and Moss Green for the leaf. The butterfly is a mix of my favourite Prussian Blue and Moss Green.

Once the flower and butterfly were dry I fussy cut them. To add that stained glass look, I smooshed Versamark on top of both images, sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

I love this rough texture of watercolour paper!

I kept the rest of design very clean. I sprinkled some brusho on Whisper White panels and spritzed with water (very, very lightly) before assembling my cards.

The edges of both card bases are stamped with three tiny flowers from the same stamp set, and I’ve used Versamark ink. Sentiments are stamped in Archival Basic Black ink. Few pearls finish off the look. I love these vibrant colours.

Stained Glass Effect With Stampin’ Blends –

First, I stamped both images onto two pieces of vellum using Versamark ink and heat embossed them in gold.

Next, I  colour on the back of te vellum with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers as follows:

  • flower – Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive
  • butterfly – Pool Party, Night of Navy & Old Olive

I even used Stampin’ Blends to dye Whisper White Organza Ribbon so it coordinates with my bookmarks – so much easier and quicker than using reinkers!

I fussy cut my images.

I die-cut four labels using Lots of Labels Framelits dies – two in Very Vanilla, one in Pink Pirouette and one in Night of Navy so they would coordinate with colours on the images. I die cut the Very Vanilla pieces slightly shorter.

I stamped, repeatedly. greeting from You’ve Got This Stamp Set (without re-inking) on my Very Vanilla pieces: For the butterfly bookmark using Old Olive ink pad; and for the flower bookmark in Rich Razzleberry.

I assembled my bookmarks and adhered butterfly and the flower in the middle using Fast Fuse.

Hope you like my little showcase and that you give the stained glass technique a go.

Best Guy Ever Clean & Simple Masculine Card

Anna’ Stampin’ Cave – Best Guy Ever Clean & Simple Masculine Card

International-Highlights-header-vote-fav

Thanks for coming to my blog today! We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do it here or use a button at the end of my post.

This month we have a theme that, I think, most of cardmakers struggling with – MASCULINE.

I know that for some it’s hard if you can’t use pink, glitter or rhinestones on the card. Not to mention flowers. I even heard that masculine cards are boring! What?! Today I will show you that masculine cards can be fun and not boring at all.

Best Guy Ever card dimensions:

  • Delightful Dijon cardstock: 11-6/8″ x 4-1/8″ scored in half at 5-7/8″ (29.7 x 10.5 cm scored in half at 14.8 cm)
  • Early Espresso cardstock: 5-6/8″ x 4″ (14.6 cm x 10.2 cm)
  • Delightful Dijon cardstock for sentiment: 1-3/8″ x 2″
  • White Vellum cardstock mat: 1-5/8″ x 2-2/8″
  • Early Espresso, Delightful Dijon and White Vellum scraps for die cutting

To achieve this fun texture on my Early Espresso panel I spritzed it with water to soften the fibre. Next, I dabbed Hexagons Dynamic Embossing folder with Whisper White Craft Ink, put Early Espresso cardstock inside, run it through the Big Shot and let it dry. When it dried I adhered it to the card base.

Next, I die cut various size frames from Delightful Dijon cardstock using squares from Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and Layering Squares Framelits Dies. You can mix and match these as you wish. Glued them to my card with liquid adhesive.

I also die cut three ‘branches’ using one of the dies from Everyday Jars Framelits Dies: one from vellum, one from Delightful Dijon and one from Early Espresso cardstock.

The sentiment I chose for my card is brilliant and can be used for any occasion really. And I love the bold font. I stamped it on a piece of Delightful Dijon in Early Espresso and matted it with a piece of vellum.

I adhered my sentiment to the card with a couple of dimensionals. For a final touch, I added my ‘branches’ to the card. I glued their ends under the sentiment panel. And this is my card done. I hope I inspired you today.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog to check all lovely projects and vote for your favourites. Hope you like my project enough to give it some love ?
